Woo-hoo!! In two weeks time, I'll be off to Japan again,
this time to attend a two-week language course in Kanazawa. I’ll be staying with a host family and
attending a 3 hour class each morning, run by the Ishikawa Foundation for International Exchange. As well as classes, our schedule includes visits to gardens
and various cultural activities.
While
going by myself is a little daunting, the idea is that I will be more likely to
develop my language skills if I’m not having everyday conversations with John in
English. A good theory which has yet to
be proven.
The
‘back-pack-only’ travel method is going to be more challenging this time as
John usually carries all of the gizmos and gadgets (mini-laptop, chargers, adapters
etc.) but I’ll have to carry them myself this time. I always did enjoy a challenge!
